Holiday Tunes

I was watching House on channel 5 tonight and they played Zero 7 - Waiting Line at the end which reminded me of listening to the Zero 7 - Simple Things album constantly on holiday a few years ago, I absolutely love the tracks Destiny and Distractions. As a result I went firkling the album out to listen to - those tracks make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! Which leads me onto other significant holiday albums, the next obvious choice has to be The Avalanches - Since I Left You, the title track takes me into the world of warm summer evenings, trying to walk back across the beach, barefoot, without a torch and listening to the waves crashing onto the shore with a warm wine fuelled hazy hapiness surrounding me. I am ashamed to say that ATB - 9pm features as the track which was played in every bar in Kalamaki, Zante one summer and will always remind me of happy days. Groovy baby! I really don't want to sully my reputation as 'The Queen of Rawk' here so I will be accompanied on the Greek adventure by the usual selection of metal and rock music and some Crowded House especially for EBF (can't wait sunshine). By the way ... 1 more working day till the adventure begins .... Jools x
